Spawning Salmon

Near Mendenhall Glacier is a stream for spawning salmon. I'm sorry the pictures didn't turn out great, but you can see how large these salmon were, it was pretty awesome to see!

Mendenhall Glacier

Mendenhall Glacier in Juneau, notice the blue color on the glacier? That is the way the light from the sky reflects down on the glacier.

Humpback Whales

Here is a group of whales "bubble net" feeding. They all go underwater and blow bubbles to scare and trap the herring. This forces the herring to the surface and all at once the whales come to the water surface with their mouths open to eat. Pretty awesome to see up close!

Cruise Ships

Each day in Juneau during the busy tourist season about 3-4 ships come in, dock and let the tourists shop or or go on other tours for about 8 hours and then off to the next destination. These modern day cruise ships are as big as the Titanic! Pretty awesome to walk down the street and have these towering above you.
