Lena is checking out a sleeping Brigitta in her car seat. Lena has adapted really well to the change in the household and will investigate Brigitta every chance she gets.

4 months old

Brigitta is now 4 months old! Where has the time gone?!?! We had her check up on Friday and she officially weighs 13.08 lbs. and is 24 1/2 inches long. She is in the 50th percentile for both, so growing very well! She got 4 shots and one oral vaccine and did really, really well considering she was starving and the doctor was late. Such a trooper!! The doctor and I noticed that the back of her head on the right side is getting a little flat. B favors her right side, so now we have to be very intentional about having her turn to the left to watch things, etc. Apparently, this is quite common with children born naturally vs. a c-section. When they are being born, there can be strain on their neck muscles, causing one side to be more tight than the other, so they will favor that side when turning their head.

B has been at daycare now for 2 weeks and is loving it! She is getting some formula during the day because I just couldn't keep my supply up being at work all day and not having the opportunities to pump. Plus, working full time can definitely add to one's stress and exhaustion which all affect the milk supply. She has had no problems with it and when we are home together, she still nurses exclusively, which is important because she is around many sick kids at daycare. :)

Morning Routine

Here is a picture to show Lena and Brigitta each morning. We all wake up very early, I feed B and while I'm showering she hangs out with dad in the kitchen; making lunches, washing the dishes, etc. Scott turned around last week to find both girls just staring at him.

B and mommy wearing our number 51 jerseys. We wore these for the game against the Green Bay Packers last weekend. Sadly, the Hawks lost, so our jerseys will be retired until next fall. :(

Now, we move onto spring and baseball season! Go Mariners!
