giraffe feeding time
We were lucky enough to see the giraffes up close and personal thanks to it being their feeding time. We realized we could get closer to the giraffes by walking up a hill. At the top of the hill, there was an entrance and you could feed the giraffes. Oh cool! Then you read the sign - it costs $5 dollar to feed the giraffe. Are you kidding me? No way! So, I just zoomed in with my camera and got a great shot instead - for FREE!
This was the 'holding' area where they had the giraffes to come and eat from the visitors.
farm animals
In one section of the zoo, they have farm animals - cows, donkeys, chickens and goats. This goat was eating right by the fence, so Scott is trying to get Brigitta to scratch his ear. She did scratch a little and the goat didn't seem to mind too much.
I just thought these guys were cute - all tuckered out
gorillas and flamingos
We started out having Brigitta in the stroller, but that didn't last too long. By the time we got to the gorilla exhibit, probably 10 min. in, she was screaming. So, we let her out and she walked/ran the entire park.
enjoying the gorilla sculpture
this baby gorilla was dancing in circles like B does - very interesting to see the resemblanceenjoying the gorilla sculpture

Woodland Park Zoo
On Monday, Scott took a day off and we decided to take Brigitta to the zoo. (mainly because she's still under 2 and she gets in free!)
Here are a few of our family shots...possible Christmas card this year, dunno.

We asked a lady to take our pic, but could you also get the sign in the picture? This is what we got, oh well.

Alex Rodriguez - every time he would come up to bat, the crowd would boo! It was so funny! He left our team many years ago - like 8 maybe and the crowd boos him like it's his first time back. In fact, there was a trio of older ladies sitting behind us and they were talking more smack to A-Rod than anyone else. It was priceless!
M's Game
Mmmm...delicious!
This past Saturday was my parent's 39th wedding anniversary, so I made cupcakes to celebrate. Here is Brigitta having one after her lunch. She just licked the frosting off the cupcake and ignored the actual cupcake itself.
Her latest saying while eating is, 'mmm...delicious!' It's pretty cute, hopefully we can get it on video!

Cake
And finally, we ended my birthday with a delicious and very chocolatey ice cream cake from Cold Stone Creamery. I had a great birthday including tickets to a Seahawks game in October from my husband. What could get better than that?
