two years old

Brigitta Ruth is now officially 2 - on September 13th. I'm a bit late in getting these posted, life got in the way. Sorry!

Brand new...
1 year old - it was very warm last year on her birthday
2 years old

Wow! Time has definitely flown by! Brigitta is quite the 2 year old. Constantly talking, moving, dancing, jumping and full of love! We love her more and more each day!

We had her 2 year appointment right after her b-day and she is now 31 pounds and 34 inches tall - she was about 40-50th percentile for both. The doctor said she looked great!

(I will get pics from her birthday bash posted soon!)

More farm pics

Thank you again to Jason and Mairead for hosting a great afternoon of delicious food, drinks, laughter and a hole in one on the frisbee golf course!

The Farm

We spent our Labor Day on the farm with the Shutt's. Brigitta loved playing all over; including with this tractor, in the hay bales, throwing balls for the dogs and getting pushed endlessly on the swing.

Ferry Ride

Last Sunday, we rode the Edmonds/Kingston ferry to see our good friends the Shutt's on Bainbridge Island.

Here is our big girl sitting on a seat on the ferry..

The view - that's a sailboat in the distance
Brigitta enjoying the view - she absolutely loved sitting in the seat like a big girl!

Almost...

A few weeks ago, Scott was listening to one of our local radio stations (KISS 106.1) and they were having a contest. If you were the 106th caller, you won a chance to win Katy Perry's car. Very cool! Katy Perry is a popular singer right now and the car in question was a powder blue convertible bug.

This morning, we dropped Brigitta off at Grandma and Bompa's and headed down to Seattle for our chance to win a car. We stood in line for 30 minutes just to enter the building and then waited around for about an hour until Katy Perry finally arrived and we could start drawing names to pick keys that would unlock the car.

They started pulling names in groups of five and each person would pick a key off a large board and take their shot at winning the bug. Time and time again, people were losing, our odds were increasing with every person. When they day started out there were 184 of us left and at one point, Scott thought our odds were 1 out of 100 if not better. At this point, my nerves were starting to kick in, maybe we would win it.

Nope. Some 16 year old girl unlocked it and won! Darn!

Here's the car, not a bad ride...especially for a 16 year old!

And, if you go to www.kiss1061.com and click on the picture link for the arrival to the Katy Perry event - Scott and I are picture 84 (I believe) out of 109. Pretty fun!

Little Helper

this past weekend, Scott was doing a little repair work on our gas fireplace and Brigitta thought she would 'help' out. I think she has the role of 'supervisor' down pat! Maybe she could get a job with the County when she gets old enough...
