Babysitting

Last Saturday, Scott and I went on a date to celebrate our 4th wedding anniversary. My lovely parents came over and watched B for us.
Next week, we are headed to the ocean for five days and since B has such a love for Angelina's scooter, they got her one as an early birthday present. This way, she has her own scooter for 'scooting' around the campground.

My dad put it together for her that night.

Root Beer Floats

After my race, we walked downtown to tour the booths at Aquafest and visit our church's booth, they were serving rootbeer floats.

Anthony and Angelina each got orange soda with their ice cream - their first floats and they loved them!

Brigitta's first float - she was in heaven!

Aquafest 5K

This past weekend, I ran in the Aquafest 'Aquarun 5K', this race was easier than last week's 5 miler and it should've been since it was only 3.1 miles.

Before the race

All lined up, listening to directions
Off we go...and yes, that is a big hill that we had to run up at the start of the race - one of a few big hills in this race route

Seafair Pirates...always add excitement and a little fear to the parade!
Surprisingly, the kids LOVED the pirates!

Classic Sauerkraut Band from Snohomish - growing up, I loved seeing them in the Easter Parade and the Kla Ha Ya Days Parade

More Race Pics

Here I come, back down First Street, heading for the finish line.

Brigitta saw me coming, started yelling, 'Momma!!' and then ran out to join me. She helped me finish the race.
Brigitta and Momma crossing the finish line - there is my time, under an hour, woo hoo!!! I was super proud of myself!

Kla Ha Ya Days River Run

So, I signed up for 2 5K runs, one today and one next weekend. Today was the Kla Ha Ya Days River Run and Dash. I read the paperwork as saying it was a 5K, yeah, when they lined us up, they announced that they wanted all of 5 MILE runners in place. Oh, apparently this was a 5 MILE race. Hmm... I did it!!

Pre-Race, waiting to start

Sweet look on my face - it was a little chilly at 8 in the morning.
My wonderful parents came down to cheer me on! (they had to leave an hour after the start and I assumed that I was running a 5K, which is 3.1 miles and I thought, oh, I can do that in like 30-40 minutes. once I got going in that 5 mile run, all I thought was, man I want to make it back before my parents have to leave) *I did!! :)
My other proud supporter!

Making cupcakes

Yesterday, Brigitta found the box of gluten free, dairy free, egg free chocolate cake mix and desperately wanted to make cake. So, she helped with the mixing and tasting, of course. I asked her to smile and for some reason she closed her eyes, crazy girl!

Madagascar

Brigitta's latest favorite movie is Madagascar. She can even say, 'Madagascar' now. Unfortunately, it's not because her mother is pouring over maps and globes with her studying the continents and oceans. It's because she's become obsessed with the movie.

So, a few of her favorite animals.

Penguins (just smile and wave boys, just smile and wave)

Zebra aka Marty
Giraffe aka Melman
Looking for Alex the lion, but he never surfaced, must've been sleeping somewhere.
I never got pics of the hippos, so no Gloria, sorry!
